This is a painting I did for my lovely mum.

While I study in Wellington, over the summer I stay with my Mum in Ruakaka. This painting resulted during some gloomy Wellington weather as I reminisced on surfing up north. I have fond memories of waking up to a sunny day by the beach and almost instantly texting Skye (my great regular surfing friend) to see if she was free for a surf at Waipu.

My mum also shares a love for the beach and sought a painting for our Ruakaka house, I thought she might like this.
